Virtual DREAMATION 2021-DD5E-The Lost Mine of Phandelver

I've been wanting to DM the version 5 of D&D, and was thinking of doing sessions with my nephew. But the starter module I got uses about 5 people. Calvin hasn't been able to find enough.

The module I got was the basic one "The Lost Mine of Phalander" and I've actually been playing it with some others (as a player), but the games are very sporadic because of Covid (three members have had it, and two have been having long term issues). The characters are pre-rolled, two fighers, a mage, a cleric and a theif.

This might be something to do for a few hours. Any interest?

That sounds good! We're going to have hours to fill. How long would the campaign take?

btw, I looked at the title again. It's The Lost Mine of Phandelver. Phalander is something completely different.

It has about four different areas, each might take 2 to 3 hours. I expect we could do the first module, perhaps two, but more likely one.

You start at an inn inside Neverwinter, then travel to a town called Phandalin. Hilarity ensues.

I have it on Roll20.net. That is browser based, and does do video avatars and voice. So an account (it's free unless you are playing many games.) I think using that for the modules would be good, but we might use the discord for voice if you want.

I talked to Calvin, my nephew, he is interested but would only be able to play only Saturday or Sunday.

I registered him on roll20.net, and added him to the game. He would still need to choose the character. There are 5, A noble warrior, a common warrior heroic, a mage, a cleric/drawf soldier and a thief. Those who want to join, let me know here. Your position in line gives you the choice order. There are 4 extra spaces.

Please join up to roll20.net, it can be free account. And let me know day (Sat, Sun) and time you think would be good.

It looks like it would be for Saturday the 20th from 1:30pm on. He is looking to get his friend Nathan to join.

We may need one or two more. His mom may elect to play as well, but there is an issue with Calvin's computer. I'm working on it, but that may limit things. They may be using one of my laptops and sharing.

We need to select the characters. These are Fighter 1 - Human Noble, Fighter 2 - (Human Commoner Hero), Dwarf Cleric (Soldier), Elf Wizard and Halfling Rogue

Pre-selection will make it faster and you could examine the bio, and select gear/spells as needed. The fighters have the least to prepare, the others have to select their spells and or specialties.

I will be asking for who Calvin selects as a character. We will choose others. Murdock, if you could select two types in your preference order, I can set up your sheet in Roll20.net (whatever is priority not picked by calvin). I can also send a PDF.

Any other players interested?
